As has been announced by the major broadcast outlets, Michigan Government TV (MGTV) will be cablecasting 24/7 coverage of the budget hearing going on in Lansing. Civic Center TV, which carries MGTV in its regular 10 am to 2 pm slot, will attempt to provide this special coverage. Comcast Digital Subscriber can watch the full MGTV feed on Comcast channel # 389. CVTV doesn’t cablecast MGTV on the AT&T U-Verse Service because AT&T doesn’t carry MGTV as part of its lineup. If you have question, please submitt then below.

Digital Network Enhancement Yields More Channels and More HD With Recent Digital Moves
Comcast’s investment in its advanced fiber-optic network is scheduled to take place in other local communities over the course of the next year. As part of this upgrade, the company is providing customers with digital equipment for up to three TVs for no additional cost. With digital equipment now installed in the vast majority of Comcast customers’ homes in Southfield, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, West Bloomfield Township, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake and Royal Oak Township, the company just began digitizing the majority of its analog channels to increase the capacity of its network and the amount of programming received by its customers. The first wave of 13 analog channels were digitized last week with the remaining analog channels slated to go digital on August 20.
SOUTHFIELD, MI – (August 4, 2009) – Comcast today announced the addition of 15 new High Definition channels to its HD lineup in the communities of Southfield, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, West Bloomfield Township, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake and Royal Oak Township – the first wave of a massive HD expansion made possible by the company’s ongoing digital network enhancement.
As part of its “World of More” digital upgrade, Comcast is digitizing channels 29 through 72 on the local lineup in these four communities to clear the way for additional HD programming, more On Demand programming, faster Internet speeds and other benefits. The 15 newly launched HD channels represent the latest benefits to local Comcast customers in these towns.
