Since taking office, West Bloomfield Township Supervisor Michele Economou-Ureste has established the tradition of presenting her Annual “State of the Township” Address. In her 4th Address, delivered at West Bloomfield Town Hall on Wednesday, March 27, the Supervisor stressed the new spirit of cooperation on the Township Board.

As with the past addresses, Civic Center TV cablecast the address live on Comcast Channel 15 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. The Address will be re-cablecast regularly with a screening at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 31.

The “State of the Township” address is also available for On-Demand viewing on the CVTV website, www.civiccentertv.com, under the category of Civic Center TV Presents.

Civic Center TV (CVTV) is cablecasting coverage of the “Festival of Music” recorded at the Orchard Mall on February 9, 2013. The coverage will be cablecast on WBTV Channel 19 and CVTV Channel 15 on Comcast Cable Service. The concert was sponsored by The West Bloomfield Educational Foundation (WBEF) to celebrate its 10th Anniversary.

The “Festival of Music” showcased the amazing instrumental, musical theater, and vocal music students and programs of the West Bloomfield Schools.

The “Festival of Music will be cablecast regularly on The West Bloomfield District Cable Channel, WBTV19 and within regular programming on CVTV channel 15 on Comcast or Channel 99 on AT&T U-Verse. WBTV19 is not available on the AT&T U-Verse service.

The WBEF is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that was established in 2002 in response to inadequate school funding by the State of Michigan. Over the last ten years, the WBEF has raised over $950,000–definitely a reason to celebrate!!

CVTV is proud to present video coverage of the 2012 Jewish Community Center (JCC) Book Fair that concluded on November 18. Click the On-Demand tab, and then, CVTV Presents for Book Fair shows.

During the week and a half of author book talks, CVTV cameras videotaped 10 sessions in the Berman Center for the Performing Arts and Handleman Hall on the West Bloomfield Campus.

The closing session, featured former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright presenting her book “Prague Winter: A Personal Story of Remembrance and War”.

Other presenters included:

Ken Segall – A colleague of Steve Jobs recalling his time with Apple in  “Insanely Simple: The Obsession That Drives Apple’s Success”.

Steve Guttenberg, – star of the “Police Academy” films discussing “The Guttenberg Bible”.

CVTV cablecasting starts on Saturday, November 30. The first program features the Music Director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Leonard Slatkin and his book “Conducting Business: Unveiling the Mystery Behind the Maestro”.

On-Demand viewing of the Comedy Cafe – “The Last Testament: A Memoir by God” as told by David Javerbaum is now available at www.civiccentertv.com. Mr. Javerbaum is a former writer for The Daily Show with John Stewart.
